My name is Patrick Thames and I teach Music.

Welcome to Thames Studio! 

I am excited that you are considering us to help you meet your educational needs in music.  I have excelled at being a musician and a teacher and those skills have allowed me to travel around the world teaching and performing. Throughout the years, I have taught a multiplicity of instrumental learners from the absolute beginner to the seasoned performer. My performance experiences and educational training have helped me formulate lessons that inspire and challenge learners in innovative ways. Below you will find a few of the ways that I use to help the learner improve as an instrumentalist:

I specialize in teaching learners who struggle to learn music or have had difficulties learning to play instruments. The emphasis in the lessons is on small successes and gradually increasing musical challenges. 

Trained to teach all levels of music education. Innovative materials are created to assist students in learning how to play a musical instrument.

Expert in teaching beginning/intermediate music education. I have developed resources for the Jazz, Gospel, and Pop Musicians.

Certified to teach K-12 Music in Arkansas.

I am skilled and learned at teaching musical improvisation.
